Guided tour in english of the exhibition Racca Vammerisse. Relics of the Foam

Racca Vammerisse is the guest of the Musée des Beaux-Arts as part of the Biennale des Arts et de l’Océan Nice 2025. With an iconography largely drawn from the mysteries of the seabed, the artist displays his strangely beautiful ceramic sculptures in the heart of the museum. His polymorphous creations, which incorporate pearls, shells, tentacles, claws and coral, carry with them a vast history of the decorative arts, from Bernard Palissy’s “rustic figulines” of the Renaissance to the ornamental ceramics of Vallauris in the 19th century.
